A Curated Day in Edinburgh

Our concierge service recently created a bespoke itinerary for guests who wanted to see Edinburgh at its best without the stress of planning. From morning to evening, every element was arranged in advance, allowing them to focus entirely on the experience.

The day began with a private guide leading them through the historic heart of the city. Stories of the Old Town, the Royal Mile, and hidden closes gave depth to the setting before time was left for wandering Victoria Street. Famous for its colourful façades and independent shops, the street curves down into the Grassmarket, once a cattle market and now a lively quarter filled with cafés and boutiques. It is one of the most photographed parts of Edinburgh and captures the city’s mix of history and charm.

For dining, our concierge had secured a table at Howies, a restaurant known for showcasing Scottish produce in elegant, relaxed surroundings. Howies has become a favourite for locals and visitors alike who want seasonal dishes rooted in tradition but presented with modern flair.

The evening was reserved for one of Scotland’s great spectacles, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Staged on the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, it brings together massed pipes and drums, international performers, and dramatic light displays against the castle walls. The Tattoo is a highlight of the Edinburgh Festival season and draws audiences from across the world.

While the itinerary unfolded, the chauffeur remained close by to provide smooth transfers and discreet support. Local recommendations, timing adjustments, and small details were handled without interruption, leaving the guests free to immerse themselves in the city.

This is the essence of our concierge service: carefully woven experiences where history, dining, and culture flow seamlessly together, with every detail managed in the background.
